Training & Assessment Methods

NEVC is responsible for delivering and assessing the competencies, which make up the qualification, and issuing the qualification.

Training can be customised and delivered via a range of methods, as negotiated and outlined in the Training Contract ‘Training Plan’:

At the College:  Training is provided at our facility; trained and assessed directly by an industry trainer/assessor, via block release and/or day release.

In the Workplace:  Training is provided in the workplace; and trained and assessed directly by an industry trainer/assessor in consultation with the employer. We also provide advice and support the employer in relation to training and assessment services.

Combination Training:  A combination of training and assessment in the workplace, and at the college.

In all cases, Employers are responsible for ensuring that balanced and structured training in the work environment is provided to achieve all competencies of the qualification.

Many components of Business, Retail & Financial Services training can also be delivered on-line.
